AZ Lodging is a product of Treative Development, a web design and development shop based in Phoenix, Arizona.
The sole proprietor of Treative Development, Theo Tigno, purchased the domain while he was an employee at Blue Square Studios (acquired by Travel Click). He purchased the domain for Blue Square Studios, who specialized in developing websites for the hospitality industry.
Blue Square Studios found no use for the domain.
The domain then moved to ParkSide Web Development with some innovative ideas to allow the website to support multiple languages. The project was abandoned after 2 months of brainstorming.
Treative Development worked on a product to give small business owners the opportunity to create a single page website after the success of developing one page websites for various companies. The product, which has no official name, is driven by a light and simple content management tool based off of Treative Tools, the company's custom content management system. A unique domain name is generated for each customer so that they can use it for marketing purposes.
Once the system was in alpha, Treative Development rolled out the application to various domains they owned.
After months of testing, AZ Lodging was chosen to be the pilot domain name to launch the application to the public.
The launch for the full AZ Lodging website is set for May 2008.
